A MURAL FOR CHINA
10 Days in China
We were honored to be invited to paint a mural for the city of Jinhua, China.
Getting Started
China's renowned artist, Dou Jinyong,
was gracious enough to share his studio, assistants, and provide a translator.
1 Mural in 1 Day
Pressure was on to complete this mural in one day. No water based paint in China
- so slow-drying oil based paint it was.
End of the Day
Mural complete. Thanks to my assistants for everything - including washing my brushes between colors.
Presenting to the Mayor
At dinner we presented the mural to the Mayor of Jinhua. It now hangs in what we would call their city hall.
